Tone Zone Fitness Suite
Our two level Tone Zone fitness suite has been recently updated. Upstairs we have easy to use cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, cross trainers and bikes, each with their own personal entertainment system on so you can work out while watching your favourite TV shows.

Downstairs we have an increased range of resistance equipment as well as a free weights area. Our fully trained fitness professionals are available to provide advice and to help you achieve your goals.
Programme
The Tone Zone is open from 7.30am until 11.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 8.30am to 8.00pm and Sunday 9.00am to 8.30pm. The last admission to the Tone Zone is half an hour before closing.
Junior Gym sessions take place on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 4.15pm and 5.00pm.

Admissions Policy
Customers need to be 16 or older and have completed a gym induction before they can use the tone zone unsupervised.
Juniors (14 - 16 year olds) can use the tone zone during junior sessions or at other times but must be accompanied by an adult who has also completed an induction and is using the gym at the same time.
All tone zone customers are issued with a swipe card after completing their induction. You must have your swipe card with you to access the gym door. Admission is at the discretion of the centre management if a card can not be produced.
Inductions
In order to use the Tone Zone you will be required to undertake an induction, so that you can use the fitness equipment safely and to help obtain the maximum benefits from your workout. During the session, you will have the opportunity to try the equipment so please bring appropriate clothing and trainers with you.
As well as the induction or familiarisation session, customers can arrange for a personal health check or for a personal training programme to be created for them.
We recommend that all customers have a personal programme created and have their programme reviewed by a member of staff every 4 to 6 weeks. Inductions, health checks and programme reviews are available throughout each day and can be booked at reception.
Prices
An induction costs £17.50 for adults or £11.70 for juniors or sure saver card holders. Inductions are free of charge as part of a membership package.
The tone zone casual admission price is £5.40 a session for adults or £3.60 for juniors or sure saver card holders.

Aerobics Based Classes
We offer a wide range of exercise classes for all levels and abilities. Classes are divided into five areas and then into the different class types. The majority of classes are suitable for all abilities, as our instructors will deliver a programme that allows you to exercise at your own pace.
Aerobics

Get your heart and lungs working in this choreographed class using aerobic and dance moves. High or low impact? You choose from the options given making this session suitable for all levels and abilities. Classes are held on a Wednesday evening 7.00pm - 8.00pm. Class cost £4.50.
Body Combat

A fiercely energetic cardiovascular workout designed to work your heart and lungs. This class will burn calories whilst improving your co-ordination, agility and core strength and stability. Class cost is £4.50.
Body Combat classes are held on a Monday and Thursday evenings 7.00 - 8.00pm, on Wednesday and Friday mornings 9.45 - 10.45am. A class will also be held on a Sunday morning 9.30 - 10.30am. Class cost is £4.50.

Not sure which class is for you? Then try this session, which gives you a mix of aerobics, step and toning exercises. Ideal for beginners to sample each style. Classes are held on a Wednesday 6pm - 7pm. Class cost £4.50.
Step

Trim and tone your lower body with this traditional class. A choreographed routine on a step platform. Great for increasing your fitness and promoting weight loss. Classes are held on a Tuesday evening 6.00pm - 7.00pm. Class cost £4.50. Please note that currently booking is required for evening step classes please contact reception for details.
Body Pump


The ultimate endurance weight training workout, designed to burn body fat and work every major muscle group. This is a resistance class using barbells suitable for both males and females. participants. Classes are held on a Monday evening 6.30pm - 7.30pm, Tuesday evening 6.00pm - 7.00pm, Thursday evening 7.30pm - 8.30pm, Friday evening 6.30pm - 7.30pm and a Saturday morning 9.00am - 10.00am. Class cost £4.50.

A fitness class aimed at the more mature. This session aims to gently lift your heart rate working both your heart and lungs. No previous experience necessary. Classes are held on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon 2.00pm - 3.00pm, Wednesday morning 10.30am - 11.30am. Exercise class only £2.40. Multi activities £4.40.
Circuit Training

A great session to work your whole body. Your heart will be pumping with the energising and highly effective workout. Suitable for all levels of fitness, both males and females. Classes are held on a Monday evening 7.00pm - 8.00pm. Class cost £4.50.
Toning Classes
Stability Ball

A unique class to develop core strength. Using the stability ball exercises are performed to strengthen and shape your torso, this will improve your posture and increase general well-being. The class is available for a maximum of 20 people so needs to be booked in advance. Classes are held on a Monday evening 8.15pm - 9.00pm. Class cost is £4.50.
Legs Bums and Tums
Sculpt, tone and tighten those problem areas with exercises to increase muscular strength, endurance and tone. Classes are held on a Wednesday evening 7.00pm - 8.00pm. Class cost is £4.50.
Group Indoor Cycling Classes

A team cycling experience. An extremely motivating yet easy to follow class, which effectively burns fat. Appropriate for all levels of fitness from complete beginner to experience cyclists Classes are held on Monday morning 11.00am - 11.45am, Monday evening 6.15pm - 7.00pm, Tuesday morning 9.30am - 10.15am, Tuesday evening 6.15pm - 7.00pm and 7.15pm - 8.00pm, Wednesday evening 7.00pm - 7.45pm, Thursday morning 9.30am - 10.15am, Thursday evening 8.00pm - 8.45pm and Friday evening 6.00pm - 6.45pm. Class cost is £4.50.
Junior Exercise Classes
Urban Street


Urban street combines various styles of street dance making a fun class that will improve your confidence, fitness and basic dance coordination. Classes are on a course basis and require booking in advance. Suitable for 8 - 16 years. The current course is held on a Saturday morning 11am - 12.00pm for 8 - 12 years and 12.00pm - 1.00pm for 12 - 16 years.
Mind & Body Classes
Yoga
This session will help clear your mind and create a positive sense of body awareness. Yoga will lengthen and strengthen your muscles, creating fluidity and ease of movement. Your flexibility, posture, balance, circulation and sense of well-being will improve with regualr attendance. All yoga classes are now run on a pay as you go basis but do need to be booked in advance. Places can be booked 8 days in advance at reception, payment on booking is required. Classes are included as part of the Premier, Sunlight and Corporate schemes. Classes are as follows: Monday evening 6.45pm - 7.45pm and 8.00pm - 9.00pm, Tuesday afternoon 1.30pm - 3.00pm, Wednesday evening 6.30pm - 7.30pm and and 7.45pm - 9.15pm (intermediate/advanced class).
Body Balance


A dynamic yoga based stretch programme designed to leave you feeling relaxed and renewed. It helps bring the body, mind and soul into a state of balance and harmony. The class is available for a maximum of 20 people so needs to be booked in advance. Classes are held on Tuesday evening 7.00pm - 8.00pm, Thursday afternoon 2.00pm - 3.00pm and Thursday evening 6.30pm - 7.30pm. The class cost is £4.50.

Focusing on building your body's core strength to improve your posture. You will develop your core muscles through a series of low repetition low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. Your stomach, arms and thighs will become more toned and your flexibility and agility increased. Classes are held on a Wednesday morning 10.00am - 11.00am and costs £4.50.
Aqua Classes

AQUA TONE - The ultimate low impact, total body workout. A refreshing form of exercise only water can provide. Ideal for any age and excellent if you are new to exercise. Classes are held on a Monday morning 10.30am - 11.00am, a Tuesday evening at 7.00pm - 7.45pm and a Wednesday morning 11.00am - 11.45am. The cost for the class is £4.30.

AQUA NATAL - a gentle workout in the water for expectant mothers, suitable for all stages of pregnancy. This class is also suitable for post pregnant women. The class is a one hour session on a Tuesday evening at 6pm. The cost for the class is £3.30.
Body Jam


The cardio work-out where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance moves and hottest new sounds put the emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat. This session will give you a whole body work-out. Classes are held on a Tuesday morning 9.45am - 10.45am as part of our options morning and on a Thursday evening 6.00pm - 7.00pm and costs £4.50 per class or FREE to Premier members.

Booking:
Bookings can be taken 8 days in advance.
Non-members need to pay on booking.
Reserve List:
No payment is necessary to go on the reserve list.
Payment can be made on attendance of the class.
Transferring:
24 hours notice is required to transfer your place. Members have a maximum of two transfers in succession.
Non-members can only transfer once in succession.
If you do not transfer, your money will be lost.
Cancellations:
Cancellations can be made by phone or in person.
We ask that you inform us 24 hours prior to the
class, so we can make the space available to others.
Attendance:
To ensure attendance is logged all participants must visit reception to pay or swipe your card.
