Haltemprice Gymnastics Squad

Gymnastics have been running at the centre for a number of years, and has recently seen the development of gymnastics go from strength to strength. Up until four years ago the leisure centre ran 6 classes over two evenings a week, they now run 8 recreational classes and 3 squad classes over 4 evenings a week and has seen class numbers increase from 180 gymnasts per week to over 300 with a waiting list of over 200. The centre is again looking at increasing their classes (to be confirmed) to reduce the number on the waiting list. The Squad have been training for the last 2 years taking part in, in-house competitions and displays. After registering the club with British Gymnastics Association, just under a year ago, they took part in their first competition on the 14th October at Beverley Complex, and plan on competing in local competitions for years to come.

The club are now looking for sponsorship to help them provide travel to and from events, affiliation fees to the appropriate organisations, staff training and to improve equipment. If you are able to help the club please contact Richard Bishop on 650217. If you require any further information about Gymnastics held at Haltemprice Leisure please contact reception on (01482)652501.
